Dream Interpretation Essentials
Things You Will Need
Contrary to what most people feel, dreams are not
meaningless. All dreams have some kind of significance, which
relates to our present lives or sometimes things that have
happened in the past and, in some very rare cases, premonitions
about the future. The area of dream interpretation is very
open. There are no rules or restrictions here, with the only
belief that every dream has some kind of relevance to it.
Dreams do not occur out of the ordinary, just like that. In
most cases, you can yourself find the meanings to the dreams
that you see. However, you will need to go about it the right
way.
Recall Your Dream
To interpret your dream, you will need to remember as much
of it as you can. It is best if you can try to remember the
dream as soon as you wake up, because you will remember the
most points at that time.
Write Down the Dream
As you write down the dream, more things will become
clearer. You will recall more points and in fact be able to analyze why
you saw some of the things. Make a special consideration
to write all the important things in the dream, such as a
red scarf that you saw in the dream or that the person in
the dream was wearing sunglasses.
Delve into Your Subconscious
When you have written down the dream, you have to tie it in
with your subconscious mind. Is there something in the dream
that you have been thinking about lately? Dreams can be born
out of a phobia or out of a deep desire. See if any of these
are of significance.
Converse with Your Dream
Try to speak to yourself and you will most likely find the
meaning of the dream. Ask questions like, "Why did I see this
dream?", "Why did I see X in it?", "Do I want to know what
happens after this?", etc. Such questions will help you find a
lot of meaning in your dream.
